As we saw at Mobile World Congress 2015, Samsung made quite a splash with its ground-breaking smartphones, the Galaxy S6, and the Galaxy S6 edge. Now, Samsung is planning to keep up its appearance at the upcoming CeBIT event at Germany, with a third installment to its Samsung Galaxy Xcover series.

Last year’s Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 was greatly appreciated due to its rugged and sturdy build, which was capable to survive all kinds of mishandling by the user, such as high drops, and water splashes, etc. The phone was highly appreciated due to its durability, although the design of the device wasn’t an extraterrestrial one.

This year, Samsung is planning to launch an all-new Galaxy Xcover 3 at the CeBIT event, which is compliant to military standard, 810G, which means that device will be able to survive very harsh conditions and any mishandling due to its rugged finish.

The phone will be dust-proof, and water resistant. The phone is a solid shock absorber and can sustain everyday drops, even from an extraordinary height. The phone may also be able to block a bullet as well.

Furthermore, the Galaxy Xcover 3 will boast an ordinary 4.5-inch WVGA display, yet not so ordinary with the scratch-resistant glass. The phone features a 5-Megapixel rear camera, accompanied by a 2-Megapixel front-facing camera.

The phone will come with 8GB of internal memory, 1.5GB of Ram, 1.2GHz Quad-core processor, a sustainable 2200mAh battery. The phone will come with Android 4.4 Kitkat, but is planned to be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop. We will keep you updated with its appearance at CeBIT event soon.
