Samsung will bring fingerprint scanner to Galaxy Note 3 and th new variant will be released in December, according to Korean media.
Apple released Apple 5S with fingerprint scanner last month and now Samsung wants to bring in similar technology in Note 3. Samsung already released different variants of recently released Galaxy Note 3 which includes a dual-SIM version and one with curve display.
Earlier it was rumored that Samsung will add fingerprint technology in Note 3 at the time of launch, but later it dropped the idea as the company which was supposed to provide the solution could not provide a reliable solution on time. Now Samsung is working on its own solution and making sure it will release the technology as soon as possible.
“If things go as planned, Samsung Electronics will finish development of the fingerprint recognition system by the end of the year,” said one of the publication’s sources. The company is reportedly developing the fingerprint recognition technology on its own, but companies such as Parton and CrucialTec may get involved in the supply channel.
