Samsung might be preparing more variant of the next phone in the Galaxy s-series than previously thought. It was reported that there will be a Galaxy S7 dual sim variant. That not it, there will also be a Galaxy S7 Edge with dual sim capabilities.
The dual sim variants of the phones have model numbers SM-G930FD and SM-G935FD associated with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge respectively and these phones have popped up in the certification website in Indonesia.
There will be several version of the phone apart from the dual sim version. Samsung has prepared the normal 5.2 inched Galaxy S7, a 5.5 inch S7 Edge and a premium 6.0-inch version that will have a flat screen and curved screen options.
The specifications includes snapdragon 820 or exynos 8890 based upon the region of availability. 32 or 64 GB of internal memory. 4 GB of RAM. The Galaxy S7 will see the return of the expandable memory card slot and the same dust proof and water resistant design that was present in the Galaxy S5. A top of the line camera is the norm in s-series phones and that will be present in the Galaxy S7. All the screens will have a QHD resolution at 1440×2560 pixels.
Samsung is also adding the iPhone features such as the pressure sensitive touch display and animated images called as vivid photos.
The leaks continue their rampage as the unveiling date of the Galaxy S7 nears closer. It will be showcased at this year’s mobile world congress (MWC 2016) trade show. Samsung will conduct a separate event called as the Unpacked Event that will generally see the launch if its flagship phone. Samsung is due to send the invites very soon.
