Samsung have a plan to release two models of the Galaxy S8 that may feature a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display. There will also not going to be a flat screen design on the devices just because the devices will have dual-edge curved displays. The screen is set to cover 83% of the front panel of the device.
The Galaxy S8 will feature a Snapdragon 835 Qualcomm processor, alongside with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The battery size will be 3 000mAh and 3 500mAh for the 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch models respectively. It will also have USB Type-C port and the physical home button will be removed. With that, the fingerprint sensor is put behind on the device alongside the camera.
The front camera will have 8-megapixel while the rear one will have 16-megapixel resolution. Compared to the Galaxy S7, the rear camera is said to have a new visual search feature which can be used to perform Optical Character Recognition. The iris scanning functionality sensor will be placed at the front camera, just like the Galaxy Note 7 had.
The Galaxy S8 is set to be launched on a special event in New York on March 29. The public release is set on few weeks right after that. The cost of both models of the Galaxy S8 100 euros more than the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The 5.8-inch model should cost 799 euros, while the 6.2-inch model 899 euros.
