Samsung is definitely working on 64 bit Galaxy smartphones to heat up the competition with Apple. Apple launched iPhone with 64 bit iOS and after that all Android manufacturers are now trying to make their effort in 64 bit smartphones.

Samsung’s first 64-bit smartphone might have shown up in benchmarking website GFXBench with model number SM-G510F. SM-G510F is using a Snapdragon 410 processor which is quite mid-range.

There is no information that 64-bit is used but the GPU is mentioned as Adreno 306 GPU and the only processor that supports that GPU is Snapdragon 410 which is the first 64-bit processor in Qualcomm lineup.

Other feature includes 4.8-inch 960×540 display, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera, and 8GB of internal storage. So do not expect a flagship device. It is also mentioned that Android 4.4.2 KitKat is used which is a 32 bit mobile OS.

Android is still working to support 64-bit processors and there is no official words yet when the new 64 bit variant will be released. According to SM-G510F’s listing on Indian import tracking site Zauba, the handset is priced at around $150 (Rs. 9,067).
