Samsung is updating all the Galaxy S4 phones on Verizon network to android KitKat. The original planned date was in May but fortunately Samsung is ahead of schedule this time.

KitKat is not a major Android update. So do not expect major changes. KitKat update will speed up performance, add wireless printing support and white status bar icon. There are many bug fixes also done on this release.

US Cellular Galaxy S4 is also expected to receive KitKat update from today but there is no word either from Samsung or US Cellular on this.

If you have the Verizon Galaxy S4, don’t forget to keep an eye out for that update notification, and to check manually in the Settings » General » About phone » Software update menu if you’re feeling impatient.
