For a while now we have been hearing that Samsung will conduct a separate event for the Galaxy S8 in April. Recently, emerged some reports that suggest that the company would unveil the handset at MWC 2017 next month. However, the shipping will start in April. Some time passed and new rumors came out of Korea that expect a launch on April 15th.
Industry sources claim that Samsung is going to launch “new smartphone products” on April 15th with a significantly improved camera. This can mean anything… We still need more details! Samsung is known that will stick to its strategy of constant improvements on the front camera. That is a trend to cater the selfie generation. That can be seen on the two new Galaxy A phones that feature a whopping 16-megapixel selfie camera. However, some past rumors suggested that the Galaxy S8 will have an 8-megapixel front camera but with autofocus onboard.
We should expect more leaks from other external suppliers for Samsung with more details. Overall, the camera module market is increasingly likely to get a boost now. This will be because of Samsung’s increasing focus on camera improvements.
