Samsung today announced many new additions to its UHD TV (4K) lineup and also revealed the price details. This include the a new addition to curved HU7250 series of TVs, a new flat panel series in the HU6950 and a monster 85 inch to its HU8550 series.
Samsung has the widest range of UHD TVs in the market with 6 different series. These new TVs will definitely give consumers more options to choose from. All the new TVs have the latest UHD technology including the HEVC (H.265) codec for top shelf 4K streaming at 60 frames per second, HDMI 2.0, and Samsung’s upgradeable One Connect Box.
85 inch HU8550
This new TV has a mammoth 85 inch screen but still it is smaller than the 110 inch TV in the same series. This new TV will offer the latest UHD technology, latest Smart TV technology from Samsung and other performance features like UHD Dimming and Precision black for deep contrast, and blazing color performance. Samsung is going to release the 85 inch HU8550 series TV later this month.
Samsung HU8550 85 inch will have a $10,000 price at release time.
These are the most affordable UHD TVs in Samsung lineup. Samsung will launch 3 models in this series. 40 inch will cost $1000, 50 inch $1500 and 55 inch $2000. These are flat panel TVs and comes with some of the best features including quad-core processors, UHD Dimming, and Quad Screen Multi-link. HU6950 series will be available this month.
