If reports are true Samsung Galaxy Note III will come in three to four different variants according to Korean news. Though the application processor will be the same in all variants, screen size, camera module and display quality will be different. Ac coring to the report Samsung is trying to make a limited edition premium line with all the best material followed by three other variants in different price range.
On processor prospective Samsung will use the same strategy as Galaxy S4. It will use its homegrown Exynos octa-core chipsets in some variants as well as Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 in other depending on market. The screen size will also different from one variant to another. Some will come with 5.7 inch screen size and other with 5.68 inch. Also the camera module will come in two different types, with 8 megapixel and 13 megapixel sensors. It is also rumored that Galaxy Note III will be packed with whopping 3 GB of memory.
This is no yet confirmed why Samsung will try out this strategy, but in past also Samsung tried similar marketing tricks for Samsung galaxy S4. Samsung Galaxy S4 comes in many different variants, like some with Qualcomm Snapdragon and some with Samsung’s own Exynos chipsets. Also Samsung introduced waterproof and Google play variants of the same smartphone.
It is also rumored that Samsung will announce Galaxy Note III at IFA Berlin in September.
