One of the Samsung’s manufacturing plant in São Paulo, Brazil has suffered a massive robbery on Monday. Products worth $36 Million were stolen from the factory.
According to report around 20 armed men with submachine guns invaded the Samsung’s manufacturing facility in Campinas, in the country side of São Paulo state. At the time of the robbery around 200 men were at work but the criminals took away mobile phones batteries of all staffs to prevent them from calling the police.
The villains used seven trucks to steal numerous items including notebooks, tablets and smartphones. The robbery is now being investigated and the police added that the case could well be an inside job since the gang could not only access the factory but also had some privileged information about where certain valuable items were located.
“We are very concerned about this incident. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. We are fully cooperating with the ongoing police investigation, and we will do our best to avoid it happening again,” Samsung said in a statement.
