In China, Samsung held an event where many of the local distributers were invited. Here, in order to thank the retailers for their support after the incident, all present Samsung executives kneeled on the stage in front of the audience. This is the moment when everyone outraged.
Many customers in China withdraw their loyalty after this act. Unfortunately for Samsung, kneeling in China is not a good custom. It is only allowed under certain circumstances. “a Chinese will kneel down before a god to beg for a blessing or express his or her gratitude to the god for a wish that has been fulfilled. They may kneel before their parents on special occasions.”
Some customers claimed that the executives that kneeled in front of the distributors are not responsible for the Galaxy Note 7, so they shouldn’t have done that.
Hopefully Samsung is taking notes from everything and never repeats the same mistakes.
