Samsung’s high-end tablet SM-P900 confirmed

Samsung’s own UAPROF RBMEN has found details about a high-end tablet with model number SM-P900. This is probably the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Plus. The screen resolution will be of 2560 x 1600 pixels similar to Google Nexus 10. Apart from that the CPU is listed as a ARM 11 processor. This will be a high-end tablet which will be released in three different variants, SM-P900 3G / Wi-Fi, SM-P901 WiFi and SM-P905 3G / Wi-Fi / LTE.
Samsung is expected to announce this tablet at IFA 2013 in Berlin.

Nokia unveiled their next flagship mobile device Lumia 1020 today and everyone started comparing it to Samsung’s big selling Galaxy S4. Samsung Galaxy S4 wins the battle in most of the features but only lacks in camera module. Nokia equipped the Lumia 1020 with a whopping 41 mega-pixel camera, but does that anyway means it will steal some market share from Samsung Galaxy S4. I do not think so.
Nokia Lumia 1020 is a dual core powered windows based smartphone, which is not so powerful as the quad-core Samsung Galaxy S4 powered by Android Jelly Bean. Also the screen size on Lumia 1020 is 4.5 inch which is smaller than 5 inch Samsung Galaxy S4. Apart from screen size, the resolution on Galaxy S4 is much higher than the Lumia phone. Samsung announces F9000 4K UHD TVs, pre-order starts from July 21

Samsung today announced that the new affordable alternative of highly expensive 85” ultra high HD TV which cost $40000. The new line of UHD TVs are not as huge as the 85” but certainly they are more affordable.
Samsung’s new F9000 series of 4K UHD TVs will The 55” and 60” variants will provide all Smart Hub features, XBOX’s Kinect like functionality for gesture and voice control and crisp 4K image quality. Both the models will come with Samsung’s latest innovation Quadmatic Picture Engine, which will upscale HD or even SD videos to 4K resolution.
“Now home entertainment lovers will have the opportunity to truly see and enjoy their favorite shows and movies like never before, in crystal-clear ultra high-definition, and in the beautifully designed 55- and 65-inch sizes they demand,” said Joe Stinziano, executive VP of Samsung America.
Samsung F9000 will cost $5,500 for 55” model and $7,500 for 60” model. If you think this is an affordable bargain then you can pre-book one from 21st at selected retails and it will ship sometime in early August.
Samsung tops smartphone race in India

Samsung sells more smartphone than any other company in Indian subcontinent. According to latest reports from CyberMedia, Samsung sold 4 million units in Q1 2013 alone to top the chart. Local smartphone manufacturer Micromax and Karbonn follows Samsung at second and third positions respectively.
India smartphone sell increased 167% compared to last year and Samsung is the biggest gainer in that. Samsung controls about 40% of India’s samrtphone market share.
Tarun Pathak, a CyberMedia analyst stated, “A significant proportion of these (users) were already using the devices of local vendors and preferred to continue with a smartphone of the same brand. Thus, local vendors have been able to introduce their new smartphone offerings to this ‘captive’ customer base.”

Samsung is bringing ZigBee wireless technology in future smartphones. This means the future Samsung Galaxy smartphones will directly control everything from light switches to heating and security for a complete home automation.
Samsung is essentially hoping to turn its next devices into “home smartphones” that provide all of the functionality its current handsets deliver, while providing full control over the fixtures and components in a house. Currently, users need a remote to connect to ZigBee-friendly products.
Apart from Samsung, HTC and other smartphone manufacturers are also considering to bring ZigBee support to their future smartphones.
