After the unveiling at CES 2017 last week, today Samsung launched its first gaming laptop, the Odessey. Currently, it is available in South Korea with potential to release to the rest of the world. It has a glorious 15.6-inch OLED display that it is powered by a full desktop grade GTX 1050 graphics card. It has 256GB of super-fast SSD storage and 8GB of DDR4 RAM memory. Although there are two models, the only difference is the processor. One model has a Core i5 which costs around $1500 US. The other has a Core i7 and it will have $1700 US price tag.
Customers expect that once the Odessey makes its way to more countries and regions, Samsung will open up customization. This will enable users to swap out drives, increase the amount of RAM, but this will also bump the price up.
However, there is still no sight of the big 17.3-inch version of the Odessey that was at Samsung’s booth at CES this year. Let’s hope that it will hit stores in near future!
