Note 8 rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 836

These couple of days, we heard a lot of rumors about the Galaxy Note 8. Most of the rumors hit the phone’s design and specifications. New leaks are coming up constantly, and it doesn’t have to mean that every single one is true. Today, we heard that the device could be the first one to feature the Snapdragon 836 chipset. This chipset is rumored to be an improved version of the Snapdragon 835 SoC.

Also, the chipset could be having a CPU clock speed at 2.5GHz. The GPU clock speed though, could be around 740MHz. The next generation of Pixel smartphones as well as the LG V30 are also rumored to feature the same chipset. In the past, Qualcomm have released two SoC upgrades, the Snapdragon 821 and Snapdragon 801. Because of this, it is very hard to believe that they will make an upgrade this year as well.

Other rumors say that the Galaxy Note 8 is rumored to feature a 6.3-inch QHD+ Infinity Display. More feature includes the Android 7.1.1 Nougat, 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel dual-rear camera setup. The front camera could feature 8-megapixel autofocus front-facing camera. Also, they will be accompanied with an iris scanner and a USB Type-C port.

And of course, none of these information are confirmed by Samsung, so we should all take this with a consideration.
