Finally the owners of T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will get the official Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The T-Mobile owners have been waiting for this update for long now as the AT&T’s and Verizon’s Galaxy Note 4 had already gotten the Lollipop update last month.
Moreover everyone knew that T-Mobile was next and it finally got it plus the wait has been good as now the T-Mobile owners will get the Android 5.0.1 version.
So those that own a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will receive an Over-The-Air (OTA) notification from the network pretty soon. Plus apart from the usual Android 5.0 Lollipop features, this T-Mobile update has enabled Wi-Fi passport on the device.
Also the T-Mobile owners can update their Note 4 version through Samsung Kies. Now if you can’t wait to find out whether the software version is ready for your T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 or not you can simply check it on your phone. All you need to do is go to Settings then System and then About Device. From there just check the Baseband version.
Now to update the Galaxy Note 4 by using the Samsung Kies application you will need to allow the app to detect supported device. Then you will just need to follow the prompts to finish update.
The minimum requirements needed for the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note 4 from T-Mobile includes the N910TUVU1ANK4 version, a Wi-Fi access, at least 50% of battery and free space of at least of 1.1GB.
