It looks like Samsung will be starting to roll out an update to the Galaxy J5 (2016) soon. The device was launched in April last year, and has been running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Today the device got its own WiFi Alliance certification, with Android 7.0 Nougat.

There is no exact date of when the device will receive the update. The update has also started to collect the necessary certifications, and because of that, it could come very soon.
