galaxy-grand-prime-2016

Samsung Grand Prime was released way back in 2014 and now in 2016 Samsung is going to release a new version of the phone. But, we are bit confused what the phone will be called.

Earlier we reported that Samsung is working on a phone with model number SM-G532F. We also predicted that the phone will be called Galaxy Grand Prime 2016. Samsung is using this naming scheme for most of its mid-range and budget offerings, same phone name with the year as version number.

But a new leak on AtTuTu benchmarking site suggests that it may going to change. A new Samsung phone with model number SM-G532F pop-up in their database, but this time with a new name. The phone will be called Galaxy Grand Prime+.

There are some more details posted. The processor will be from MediaTek (MTK6737T). This features a quad-core CPU and Mali-T720 GPU.

Last time we discovered that the 2016 variant has only 1.5 GB or RAM, but the new leak suggests that it will be 2 GB. SM-G532F will also feature 32 GB of on-board storage, 8 MP rear and 5 MP front camera.

On software side, the phone will come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow preinstalled, which may change at the time of release.
