The Android Auto app has finally received a new update which has brought support for two of the most popular flagship handsets from Samsung in recent years.
The app basically adds support for the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S5 on select carriers that are Verizon, Sprint and AT&T, which are also the largest mobile carriers in the United States. Now millions of people who own these handsets in the US can use them with the Android Auto in the car.
Basically Android Auto is an extension of Google’s mobile operating system into the car. Users will now be able to plug in their devices and get turn by turn navigation, phone calls and messaging through the dashboard of their car.
There are over 35 car makers that currently support Android Auto along with some third party apps such as Whatsapp, Skype and Spotify also giving support for the platform.
